When you go swimming in Illinois, you need to understand the dangers in the water. Now, you need to consider the possibility that there are bears swimming in Illinois lakes as a new video share proves.

This video was just shared a couple of hours ago by WSIL News 3 on YouTube. It's a black bear emerging from the waters of Kincaid Lake in southern Illinois.

If you're not familiar with Kincaid Lake, it's in the southern part of Illinois just north of the Little Grand Canyon area of the state not that far from Carbondale. This is on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest and is a heavily-forested part of Illinois that would be easy for a bear to make a habitat in. It's believed that this is one of the many bears that is simply migrating through southern Illinois over the past few weeks which has caused many reported sightings.
