The Old Joliet Prison will be screening The Blues Brothers to mark the film’s 45th anniversary. The movie will be shown in the prison yard, giving fans the chance to grab a spot and enjoy the film outdoors alongside other Blues Brothers enthusiasts.

After the film, guests will have the opportunity to explore the 16-acre grounds of the Old Joliet Prison and gain access to some of its historic structures. Food trucks, merchandise tents, and drinks will also be available throughout the night.

Why Fans Still Love the Movie

I’ll admit, I’ve seen the movie maybe three times, and I’m not the biggest fan. It’s just not my thing. That said, I do love the mall scene, the best part of the whole film. And, of course, the unforgettable diner scene with Aretha Franklin as the brothers try to reunite the band.
