Friends of Rockport Man Battling Stage 4 Cancer Hosting BBQ Fundraiser August 12th

Rockport resident, Adam Miller is currently fighting Stage 4 Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. As his medical bills begin to pile up, friends and family are looking to help cover his costs with a barbecue fundraiser and cornhole tournament on Saturday, August 12th at French Island Marina and Boat Club in Rockport, Indiana.

The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Marina and will also feature a bake sale featuring cookies, brownies, and more, as well as a grill raffle with tickets available for $5.00 each, or five for $20.

Pre-orders for barbecue are being accepted now by calling either Karen Miller or Nolan Payne at 270-313-9712, or 812-568-6686, respectively. Orders are available for $3.00 for sandwiches only, or $7.00 for complete dinners which includes the sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, along with pickle and onion. All orders will need to be picked up by the end of the event on the 12th.

If you think you're a solid cornhole player, grab a partner and enter the cornhole tournament. Entry fee is $30 per team with registration taking place between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and the tournament starting at 1:00 p.m. after all teams are given a chance to warm-up. 50% of the pot will go to the winning team, while the other 50% will go toward Adam's medical bill fund.
