‘Falling Skies’ Season 3 Finale: What Unanswered Questions Lie in “Brazil?”
This coming Sunday will see TNT's 'Falling Skies' coming to the close of its third season "Brazil," its extended fourth season in 2014 already assured. And while the Steven Spielberg-produced alien actioner will no doubt unleash budgetary hell on either side of the alien-human conflict, what lingering questions can we expect to be wrapped by the final episode of the season?
Entertainment Weekly obtained a first look at the final episode of 2013 "Brazil," namely the lingering alien mysteries that will come to plague Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), the 2nd Massachusetts, and even their new alien allies the Volm. For one, Hal Mason (Drew Roy) may have had his eye worm painfully removed, but his loyalty may yet be tested by the captive presence of uncovered mole Lourdes (Seychelle Gabriel), herself crawling with parasitic machines.
Meanwhile, don't trust too easily in the apparent deaths of Anne (Moon Bloodgood) and baby Alexis, as producers tease of the alien offspring "we know the bay must be important, or they wouldn't have come after it." Perhaps the bigger looming question of the hour however, lies in whether or not the Volm can truly be trusted, given all they've apparently kept from their human allies over the course of the season. Once the battle against the Espheni defense grid comes to a close, might the Volm reveal a more sinister ulterior motive?
It all comes crashing down this Sunday in 'Falling Skies' season 3 finale "Brazil," so check out the latest preview featurette below, and give us your predictions for the season's end in the comments!
