Evansville’s Dream Car Museum Will Close To The Public In 2019
Evansville's Dream Car Museum will be closing to the public within the next few months. However, they won't be closing their doors for good. According to the Evansville Courier & Press, the Dream Car Museum will be transitioning into a private venue in the near future.
The Dream Car Museum was founded in 2015 by Larry Bennett at his dealership (Bennett Motors) on the corner of Diamond Avenue and Heidelbach Avenue in Evansville. It gave visitors the opportunity to view classic, movie, exotic and muscle cars as well as nostalgic memorabilia like gas pumps, candy machines and classic TV and movie items. They hosted several charitable events that we have been proud to be a part of over the years, such as the Dream Bigger Weekend to benefit Cops Connecting With Kids.
The Dream Car Museum is currently downsizing to one building and liquidating it's inventory, according to the Evansville Courier & Press. They also say that once the consolidation is complete, they will be transitioning from a public museum to a private venue that can be rented for birthday parties, events, etc. Owner Larry Bennett expects this to happen later in 2019.
Until then, The Dream Car Museum will remain open to the public every Friday-Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
