Deaconess Pediatric Urgent Care Opening Monday, Oct 30th

We are excited to announce the newest service for our pediatric patients and families, Deaconess Pediatric Urgent Care, opening Monday, October 30.

Located on the first floor in the new Deaconess Clinic Medical Office Building 2 on the Gateway campus, this specialty Pediatric Urgent Care—just for kids!—will be staffed by pediatricians, and pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants.  The service will be open every day, with extended hours of 8 AM – 8 PM (holiday hours may vary).

You can walk in, call ahead, or go online and schedule your appointment via www.deaconess.com/urgentcare.  Any child under 18—current patients, patients of other physicians, and even out-of-town visitors—will be welcome.

This new service takes the place of our current Pediatric After Hours, which will close Sunday evening, October 29; however, the extended hours and increased capacity for patients will allow even more children to receive care, seven days a week.

Deaconess Pediatric Urgent Care, with on-site lab and x-ray services, can provide care for the following illnesses, injuries or health care needs:

-          Physicals for school, sports or camps
-          Illnesses such as strep throat, bronchitis, colds, coughs and flu
-          Infections such as ear, eye, sinus, skin and urinary tract/bladder
-          Minor burns
-          Sports injuries
-          Strains or sprains
-          Allergic reactions
-          Breathing treatments
-          Rashes, such as poison ivy, scabies and sunburn
-          Cuts or lacerations, including those needing stitches
-          Stings or bites
-          Broken bones and fractures
-          Ear wax removal
-          Headaches
-          Head lice assessment
-          Splinter removal

Pediatric Urgent Care is located in Deaconess Gateway Medical Office Building 2, at 4209 Gateway Blvd, 1^st floor.
