Confessions of a Recent Coffee Convert

I have to be totally honest,  I'm a fairly recent coffee lover.  I never used to drink coffee until I got COVID in October of 2020, after that I had COVID fatigue something fierce, so I started drinking coffee to make me more alert, then I had a baby, and well the rest is coffee-loving history. Over the last couple of years, I've learned how much I love iced coffee, cold brew, and lattes, and as much as I love adding a Premier Protein shake to my coffee at home, nothing beats a delicious specialty coffee on the go!

Americans Really Love Coffee

According to the National Coffee Association (did you know we had a National Coffee Association?), more Americans are drinking coffee now than ever before.

Coffee consumption has soared to a two-decade high as Americans brew up new post-COVID routines, according to exclusive consumer polling released this morning (Tuesday) by the National Coffee Association (NCA).

66% of Americans now drink coffee each day, more than any other beverage including tap water and up by nearly 14% since January 2021, the largest increase since NCA began tracking data.

So it's safe to say we have a big market for coffee around here, and soon we'll have a brand new place to grab a cup of joe in Evansville!

Coffee Lovers Rejoice, the Caffeine Machine Will Soon be Hitting the Streets

Husband and wife team, Derek and Alyssa Raber have a love of coffee, and they're bringing that love to the streets of Evansville.  I reached out to Alyssa and she was so kind, and I can definitely tell this is a labor of love for the Raber family.  Here is what Alyssa had to say about opening a coffee truck:

I have been wanting to open a coffee truck for quite some time now, life’s ups and down have happened and kinda put things off substantially…. Until now, my husband has completely helped my dream become reality!! We are from Evansville, on the Northside(Go Huskys) we have 5 kids, just got married in Hawaii in July, did our first body building competition this past spring, we love our pocket bully pups, love life, and escpecially coffee! We are SOOOO stoked to be meeting people in the community, and sharing our passion! We love Evansville!

Alyssa's post announcing the Caffeine Machine says they should be hitting the streets by the end of 2022, and they'll be offering up everything from specialty coffees, to espresso bombs, and more.
