Is your pantry full of plastic bags? Do you simply throw them away after you put your groceries up? Before you throw them away, think about donating them to the Boonville-Warrick County Public Library.

The Crochet Circle at the library is currently accepting donations of plastic bags that  they will in turn, knit into plastic yarn mats. These yarn mats will serve as blankets and be donated to Tri-State homeless shelters and food banks. Not only that, but by not throwing these bags in the trash, you are also helping the environment.

We are told that it takes almost 500 bags to create one mat. So by all means, bring in as many bags as you can. You can drop off your donations of plastic shopping bags in the Children's Department at the Boonville-Warrick County Public Library. You can contact the library at 812-897-1500 if you have any further questions.
