Beware! Police Are Writing Tickets For Cutting Through Parking Lots

Be forewarned… Evansville police will be issuing tickets without warning to drivers who cut through parking lots instead of using the construction detours at Green River Road and Lincoln Avenue.

The entire intersection will be closed for two weeks for construction.

Parking lot entrances will remain open for businesses at that intersection. The parking lot, however, can not be used as a way around the constrction.

The price tag for violations is $116.50.

Detour routes are marked as follows:

Westbound Lincoln Avenue will detour north on Burkhardt Road to Lloyd Expressway, to Vann, and back to Lincoln Avenue.

Eastbound Lincoln Avenue will detour north on Vann to Lloyd Expressway, to Burkhardt Road, and back to Lincoln Avenue.

Northbound Green River Road will detour west on Washington Avenue to Vann, to Lloyd Expressway, and back to Green River Road.

Southbound Green River Road will detour west on Lloyd Expressway, to Vann, to Washington Avenue, and back to Green River Road.
