According a new Forbes list of the best cities for working moms, women looking to work and raise children at the same time may want to consider moving to the Buckeye State. Three Ohio cities made it into the top 10, including the number one spot.

Given its high salaries for women, low unemployment rate of 5.7 percent and rising number of female-led companies, plus good schools, daycare and doctors, Columbus topped the list, with Cincinnati and Cleveland coming in at the fourth and seventh spots, respectively.

New Orleans; Hartford, Connecticut; and Providence, Rhode Island rounded out the top five at the second, third and fifth spots. It was the first appearance on this list for New Orleans, which boasts a low cost of living and a high per-pupil spending number of $16,256. In addition, more than 100 charter schools have opened in the city since Hurricane Katrina.

After three years at the bottom of the list at number 50, Las Vegas is no longer the least attractive city for working moms and has been replaced by Los Angeles, which has an unemployment rate of 10.3 percent, the fourth-highest crime rate of all the cities surveyed, a high cost of living and mediocre salaries for women.
