Ever wonder how that maple syrup got on your breakfast table? Well, obviously you bought it at the store, but that's not what I mean. I mean do you wonder how it got into that bottle in the first place? Wesselman Woods will be happy to show you during their 41st annual Maple Sugarbush Festival this weekend (March 2nd and 3rd, 2019) !

Taking place from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. both days, the festival will not only give you the opportunity to see exactly how maple sap is harvested from trees at the Nature Preserve then turned into that sweet, delicious concoction we all know and love inside their "sugar shack," it will also give you the chance to try some for yourself with a hearty breakfast of sausage, your choice of juice, milk, and/or coffee, and all-you-can-eat pancakes!

You'll also have the opportunity to purchase different foods made with maple syrup, as well as maple soap!

Tickets are just $8.00 for those 12 years of age and older, and only $5.00 for kids between 3-12. Children 2 and under get in free. Purchasing tickets in advance isn't required, however organizers "highly recommend" doing so as they are "utilizing time specific breakfast seatings [sic]." You can get yours by stopping by the Nature Preserve office, or online through the Wesselman Woods website.
