I think the warm(er) weather is finally here to turn the season!  The warm weather gets me excited about doing things outside – working in the garden, restaurant patios are opening, days are getting longer … You get the idea!  Many of our tri-state wineries are beginning to have summer events and get-togethers to join in the warm weather spirit.  You could easily look up all the ones in our area, but I’ll do you one better – here are a few of the great local ones!

Ruby Moon Winery

9566 US Highway 41 A
Henderson, KY

Ruby Moon has that magazine feel to it as you pull into the driveway and see the rolling acres of grapes.  Something that I enjoy about this winery is the use of the grapes grown right there at the vineyards supplemented by local fruits for wines made from fruits other than grapes.

Ruby Moon is Having a Spring "White Sale!"

Ruby Moon is having a great Spring sale on our "Audubon White Wine." Normally $13 a bottle, this sweet white wine produced from our Niagara grapes is just $8 a bottle which is a saving of just under 40%. No other quantity discounts apply. Get yours while it lasts!

The nice folks at Ruby Moon would be happy to have visitors come by for a tasting of the famous Audubon Red and Audubon White wines as well as the others.

Open Tuesday – Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  You can find them on Facebook to stay in the loop and on the web at www.rubymoonwinery.com

White Buck Vineyards and Winery

1800 US Highway 60 West
Morganfield, KY

White Buck Winery is deeply rooted in Union County from the owners to the community support when the winery first was started.  Members of the 2008 KY state champion wrestling team helped plant the grape crop that first year. Union County is known for talented wrestlers, and to honor that one of the wines is nicknamed "Wrestler's Red".  Founder, Allen White, previously practiced medicine, and his favorite was named "Doc's Delight".  As you can see, each bottle’s name has a meaning so each batch has a touch a personal flair when it makes it to the bottling room!

Summer hours are in full swing at White Buck and so are the live music nights!
Tuesday – Thursday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Bottles are full and the tasting room is open, and Kenny’s Cheese (Kentucky Proud product) is served to accompany your wines.  You can check them out on Facebook or at www.whitebuckwine.com to stay up to date about live music and other social gatherings that bring people together for a glass of award winning White Buck wine.
