The news is out...Jerry Bruckheimer is ready for audiences to see a new "Top Gun" with the first movie's original star, Tom Cruise, who will be taking on a new type of aerial warfare in this next generation sequel.  Bruckheimer says, "Technology has changed, obviously, since we made the first one.  So I think we're going to take advantage of what the world is like today with the drones really taking over in a lot of our wars."

Bruckheimer is also working a "Beverly Hills Cop" sequel that pairs up Eddie Murphey with director Brett Ratner ("Rush Hour").  Bruckheimer said, "I'm going to take Eddie back to Detroit."

Both of these movies were personal favorites of mine "back in the day" so I'm really looking forward to seeing Bruckheimer's updates to these characters in today's world with today's technology.  How about you?  Can he successfully bring these characters and movies back?
