From the office of Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke The Evansville Water & Sewer Utility (EWSU) is preparing for the start of three construction projects that will impact traffic near construction zones on the city’s North, East and West sides. In the meantime, work is progressing on a sewer lining project on the City’s Southeast Side.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in both directions on St. Joe Avenue between Diamond and Allens Lane as crews begin work to patch holes and repave the stretch of road on Evansville's west side which serves as home for Rural King, Midas Car Care, and other local businesses.

George Zimmerman -- yes the same Florida neighborhood watchman acquitted in the Trayvon Martin murder trial -- was pulled over for speeding on a highway near Dallas, Texas.

Travelers heading into or out of Evansville by way of Highway 41 North may want to explore alternate routes between now and mid-August.

As a guy who lives on the northwest part of town and works downtown, Riverside Drive is usually a quick and easy way to get to and from work...especially since I'm now able to turn left onto Walnut off of Riverside. But lately, Riverside has been anything but quick and easy.
