Recipe for Yummy Banana Bread Made From Leftover Bananas
Yesterday, I posted a video blog about my not-so-famous "flick of the wrist" way to open bananas. So today I thought that I would pass along to you a banana bread recipe, just in can you ever have left over bananas that are turning brown, soft and squishy. Here's a recipe that Jenny uses to make yummy banana bread. Try it!
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 and 2/3 Cup flour
- ½ Cup margarine (softened)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 and ½ Cups mashed bananas
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- (3 to 4 medium bananas)
- ½ Cup chopped nuts (optional)
- ½ Cup water
Directions:
Mix together sugar, margarine, eggs, bananas, and water. Sift together dry ingredients and gradually add to banana mixture. Bake in loaf pans for 55 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
