Thousands of individuals are expected to participate in the 2014 Evansville Walk to End Alzheimer’s this coming Saturday, September 20th. This is The Alzeimer's Association’s largest local fundraiser of the year and will take place on Riverside Drive at the Old National Bank. Registration begins at 9am...there will be a ceremony in the Promise Garden at 9:45am...and the walk begins at 10am.

Participants will learn about advocacy opportunities, the latest in Alzheimer’s research and clinical trial programs, and support programs and services for families dealing with the disease. Each walker will be invited to sign their loved one’s name on a colored pinwheel flower that will be planted in a “Promise Garden” to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Funds raised by the Walk provide support services for the 100,000 Indiana residents and 67,000 Kentuckians living with Alzheimer’s, as well as their families and caregivers, while also contributing to critically needed research to find a cure.
