Police in Colorado confirm 12 dead and 38 were injured during a midnight showing of the new movie "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora.

Authorities say the shooting started around 12:30 MDT, in front of one of the Century 16 Theaters at the Aurora Mall, as a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" began.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
