I have fond memories from my Cub Scout days of competing in a Pinewood Derby. I remember my car was pretty awful (and very slow)...but I had a blast working on it. This Saturday some local scouts will put their Pinewood Derby cars to the test!

The Scoutreach program has over 150 scouts, ranging from first grade through fifth grade from various Vanderburgh County schools and after school programs.

These kiddos have been putting in the work, both at home and at meetings - fine tuning their derby cars - and now it's time for the rubber to hit the road!

The Pinewood Derby will take place this Saturday, April 2nd, and for the 15th year, will be hosted by Wright Motors on Division Street.

Event organizers say the best time for pictures and video is at 9:30am after the racers get registered. So stop by and support these Scouts and see some serious racing action!
