Winter Weather Advisory for Parts of the Tri-State Tuesday 12/17
As I drove in this morning, the light rain was changing over to snow. that was just after 4:00 A.M. Now, Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7:00 A.M. That's not a long time, but this will make the morning commute a mess.
* WHAT...Mix of light snow and freezing drizzle expected. Total
snow accumulations of less than an inch and ice accumulations of
a light glaze.
* WHERE...Most of southwest Indiana and southern Illinois, including the cities of Harrisburg, Shawneetown, Vienna,Golconda, Elizabethtown, Poseyville, Evansville, and Boonville.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM CST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, primarily on
bridges, overpasses, and some secondary roads. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.
