Berry Plastics announced plans to further optimize production and relocate manufacturing equipment to four of its Indiana manufacturing operations. The Company will invest approximately $31 million for new infrastructure and equipment, and will also transfer existing equipment from other Berry Plastics facilities.

Think about all the plastics we use.  Take our plastic containers,for example.  From plastic baggies to plastic juice containers to plastic tubs to plastic cups...I could go on for pages.  Berry Plastics in Evansville is a company that provides us with many of those plastic products.  Now Berry Plastics is expanding into the insulated packaging market!

At a news conference today, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Vanderburgh County Commission President Marsha Abell and Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville President Deborah Dewey announced infrastructure plans that reaffirm the City, County, and State’s commitment to implementing measures to ensure retention of current jobs and creation of new jobs within the region.
