This Friday from 10A-1P at Wesselman Park  Solid Waste Management is holding their free paper shredding event. This is a good way to safely get rid of any papers or documents you may have lying around that are no longer needed, but contain sensitive information such as social security numbers, addresses or names.

Free Paper Shredding Day Friday, October 18, 2019 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Wesselman Park, 551 N. Boeke Road.  Drop off confidential or sensitive documents (up to 100 lbs.) to be shredded by Piranha Mobile Shredding at no charge. Shredding will occur off-site at Piranha Mobile Shredding facilities.  Vanderburgh County residents only please.

According to SmartAsset.com documents you should shred include:

  • Medical or banking information that's over a year old
  • Tax information that's over 7 years old
  • Any bank statements even from old bank accounts that are closed
  • Any document that isn't a must keep that contains social security numbers, bank information, and even stuff with your address on it.
