Logan's Promise is expanding their mission to end drunk driving, into Gibson County.

On Saturday, September 1, 2018, the lives of the Gasaway and Watts families were changed forever. Trevor Watt of Princeton and James Gasaway of Haubstadt were killed in a tragic car wreck. They were so young...Only 19 and 20 years old. This was totally preventable. Indiana State Police said Ashley Sanders’ blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit, when she crashed into their car, at a high rate of speed. She has since been sentenced to 24 years, which is the maximum sentence allowed.

I met James and Trevor's moms at the Logan's Promise 'Walk to Remember' in March. I cannot even begin to explain how much pain they are going through, and all because of the poor choice of one person.

The mission of Logan's Promise is to engage people within the community and promote the understanding and action necessary to control drinking and driving; and to increase public awareness of these problems.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, Logan's Promise will honor Trevor and James. You will have the opportunity to sign the Promise to NEVER drink and drive. The declaration will be held during the Golden Heritage Days Festival, at the courthouse square.
