This morning, the Kentucky State Police released an update to their investigation an aircraft wreck the occurred earlier this week at the Henderson City-Henderson County Airport.  According to Public Affairs Officer Corey King, it was believed the aircraft was stolen from Rome, North Carolina.

According to a KSP press release, the two crash victims have been identified as 47-year-old Barry A. Hill of Stanford, North Carolina and 48-year-old George Tucker, also of Stanford, North Carolina.

But we are finding out now that the aircraft was not stolen. 14 News reported that George Tucker was keeping the plane at his residence for a friend and just used the plane without permission from the owner. For all the details read the entire article here.

Kentucky State Police say neither man was a certified pilot.

The KSP, FAA and NTSB continue their investigation into the crash.  We'll continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
