If you lived in the Evansville, Indiana area back in the '90s, you probably went to Coconuts to listen to new music with community headphones. And unless you are a fan of pop culture merchandise, you might not have realized that Coconuts is still around.

The Last of Its Kind

In 1993 F.Y.E For Your Entertainment opened locations in malls across America. Most of these locations were former music and movie stores. Coconuts was one of those brands that fell into the FYE acquisition. The Evansville, Indiana location kept the Coconuts Music and Movies brand. In fact, this is the only Coconuts store that is still open.

I actually still shop there, or at least stop in and look around quite often. I'm not looking for music and movies, but they have a regular shipment of Funko Pops, action figures, and other fandom stuff that I love.
