Meet SALLIE: A Heartwarming Tale of Rescue, Love, and Hope

Our pet of the week is SALLIE, a beautiful pup with a story that’s ready for a fairy tale ending. SALLIE and her pups were left behind at a partner shelter on the 4th of July. Her luck took a turn for the better when the wonderful folks at Daisy’s Pet Playground welcomed her with open arms.

When SALLIE first arrived at It Takes a Village, she was just 35 pounds - half of her ideal weight! But with love, care, and plenty of treats, she’s now a healthy 53 pounds and feeling fabulous. Her puppies have all been adopted; now it’s this mama’s turn to shine. At about three years old and recently spayed, SALLIE is more than ready for her happily ever after.

SALLIE’s friendly personality and love for other dogs make her the perfect companion for a family ready to welcome a sweet, gentle soul into their hearts.
