As a one-time newbie to Evansville, I have certainly had my fair share of struggles with certain street names. And just when I start to think that I have a grasp on all of the tough ones, I discover a new (to me) street name that baffles me. It has become a bit of a running joke, and also a point of curiosity. I wonder where these names come from? What is the proper pronunciation? And how many difficult street names are there in Evansville?

I visited EvansvilleGov.org and discovered a 276-page long document listing every street name in Evansville. I could've probably chosen 100 or more street names that the average person might struggle to pronounce correctly. Instead, I narrowed my list down to the 30 names that I think are most commonly mispronounced.
