Get ready to kick off the holiday season in Evansville with a magical evening filled with cheer, warmth, and community spirit! Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry will lead the city in her very first lighting of the Evansville Christmas Tree in a celebration that's sure to brighten everyone's holiday. This year’s special event has a brand-new name, Light-Up River City: Evansville’s Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Kick-Off, and it promises to bring all the seasonal feels you love!

  • What: Light-Up River City
  • When: Saturday, November 30 from 5:30pm-7:30pm
  • Where: In front of the Evansville Civic Center at 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

As part of this year’s event, Light-Up River City also will be hosting a winter accessory drive. Those planning on attending are encouraged to bring new gloves, hats, scarves, and socks to donate. All items will be donated to those in need during this holiday season.

Guests to Light-Up River City will be treated to heartwarming musical and dance performances that will have you tapping your toes and feeling the holiday spirit! Families will love meeting favorite holiday characters and capturing the magic with fun photo ops. And for the little artists in the crowd, there will be a special area to create cheerful Christmas crafts to take home as keepsakes.
