The victims had purchased bronze vases from the cemeteries. They place them near the headstone of their deceased loved ones. The cost is somewhere between $500 and $1,000. It's a nice way to honor the dead. Well, until someone ruins it by stealing the vases from the graves.

Once they have stolen a bunch of those expensive grave decorations, the thieves would take the bronze vases to a scrapyard. There they would be given money for the merchandise. The cash the suspects were paid was much less than what they were worth.
