If you drive anywhere in Evansville this time of year, I would be willing to bet that you have had an encounter with a pothole. Maybe you spotted it early and were able to deftly maneuver around it or maybe you felt that dreaded clunk of hitting one directly.

It can be incredibly frustrating. Believe me! I have encounter some doozies this year myself. It seems like spring and winter have been in a strange tug-of-war across Indiana, and the subsequent thaw-freeze-thaw-freeze has created some craters on city roads.

Road Crews Have Repaired Over 6K Potholes So Far in 2025
Fortunately, Evansville City Road Crews have been hard at work! As of April 1st, they have already filled 6,061 potholes. SIX THOUSAND SIXTY-ONE! That is a lot of potholes and a lot of asphalt.
