It's hard to pick a favorite food, but if I had to choose a few, pizza would certainly be among my top choices. Luckily, there are a ton of great places in the tri-state area to order a pie, and I've probably tried just about all of them. My wife and I order pizza every Friday and usually enjoy it with a new movie or an older one we haven't seen. Our go-to order is simple: sausage and onion. Some might call this a 'German pizza,' but we just call it good.

The cool thing about pizza is that you can order it any way you want, from the crust type and cooking method to the sauces and toppings. When I was in college, my regular order from Domino’s was a deep-dish crust pizza with barbecue sauce and extra cheese, topped with bacon and onions. Was it the healthiest option on the menu? Absolutely not, but boy was it a treat.

Recently, I stumbled across a list of strange and unusual pizza toppings compiled by Papa John’s.
