This is the Best Lake in Indiana

According to a list compiled by Cheapism, the best lake in all of Indiana is Tippecanoe Lake. This lake is in Northern Indiana, just an hour from Fort Wayne. Known by locals as "Lake Tippy," it's actually the deepest lake in the state and holds more than 25 finned species for anglers. According to Animals A-Z:

While it may be shallow compared to other lakes in the United States, Tippecanoe Lake is the deepest natural lake in Indiana. In northern Indiana’s Kosciusko County, over two miles west of the town of North Webster, a stunning 123-foot deep lake awaits to be explored, and the locals call it “Lake Tippy.”

Something really cool about Tippecanoe Lake is that it is one of the Barbee Chain of Lakes, which consists of seven interconnected glacially formed natural lakes. That's right, glaciers are responsible for this lake. It's crazy to think that the area was once a solid piece of ice.

If you plan on visiting Tippecanoe Lake, you can take part in various recreational activities including kayaking, sailing, jet skiing, water skiing, camping, and canoeing.

Have you been to Tippecanoe Lake before? Would you say that is better than Lake Monroe or Patoka Lake? You can learn more about Tippecanoe Lake by clicking here.

16 Indiana Towns with Dirty-Sounding Names

A majority of these towns were given their names in the mid-to-late 1800s as settlers making their way across the country found unclaimed plots of land and decided to make them their own. While I imagine they thought the names they came up with were innocent, and perhaps a tribute to something in their lives, pop culture has warped our minds to the point since then that we can't help but think of something about the town that was never intended by its founders. Take a look at this list. I guarantee there's at least one name that will make you chuckle.
