Beautiful Thanksgiving Centerpiece for the Thrifty Decorator
You may think I spent a lot of money on this beautiful Thanksgiving centerpiece, but I didn't. It cost me under ten dollars. Here is how to make it.
First of all, you will need a center. What I mean by that is anything from a candle holder to a pumpkin. You just need something to decorate around. I used a candle holder my mom used year round. The three candle holders are all connected, but the don't have to be.
The you simply buy some decorative leaves, fall flowers, pumpkins, gourds, nuts, cranberries, pine cones, etc and place them around your center. No glue gun is required. you just place them, randomly around there base.
I usually shop after Thanksgiving for the big sales on the different base decorations, but you can get them pretty cheap right now, depending on where you shop. Even thrift stores have a great selection.
I love this idea because its different every year and I can gradually add to it. When Thanksgiving it over, I simply take it apart and replace the decorations with holiday or winter things. It really saves a lot of money. You've seen these glued together centerpieces before for over between $75 or much more.
Happy decorating. More tips to come.
