’Sup Bat-fans, Watch LEGO Batman Give a Tour of Wayne Manor for ‘Gotham Cribs’
The self-aware superhero thing seems to be becoming a trend. Last year, Deadpool charmed audiences with his irreverent, R-rated take on the origin story, cursing up a storm and breaking the fourth wall every five minutes. LEGO Batman, possibly the best part of The LEGO Movie, was similar, throwing in jabs now and again to his dark, broody characterization in The Dark Knight Trilogy. The LEGO Batman Movie promises more of the same in this new “Gotham Cribs” clip, which shows LEGO Batman trying really hard not to let everyone know he and LEGO Bruce Wayne are the same person. If he were any more aware of himself, he’d ascend to nirvana.
‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ Is Fandango’s Most Anticipated Movie of 2017
When it comes to online movie polls, which ones do you think the public is usually most excited for: little indie pictures or huge superhero/sci-fi/fantasy blockbusters? Spoiler alert— it’s the blockbusters. Shocking, I know. In Fandango’s year-end poll of the most anticipated movies of 2017, Star Wars: Episode VIII, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the live-action Beauty and the Beast took the top spots.

‘Fences’ Clip: Viola Davis Is Definitely Going to Win an Oscar
While some actresses would shy away from letting their line deliveries get emotional enough that their spit and snot practically flies at the camera, Viola Davis is not some actresses. If you feel like you’ve heard the word “Oscar” more than enough when it comes to Davis and Denzel Washington’s Fences, get ready to hear it one more time: Viola. Davis. Is. Going. To. Win. Best. Actress. This. Year.
New ‘Patriots Day’ Trailer: Bostonians ‘Will Not Be Beaten Down’
When making a movie about any real historical tragedy, especially if it’s recent, there’s an onus on the people behind the project to be true to the material. No one in Hollywood, save for maybe the Afflecks, loves Boston more than Mark Wahlberg, and he’s said before that his prime concern with making Patriots Day, a drama about the Boston Marathon bombings, is “getting it right.” A new trailer before this week’s release of the film hammers that point home even further, with footage from the movie intercut with statements from the real people who were there that day.
We’ll Be Seeing Roger Ailes and Megyn Kelly’s Feud on the Big Screen Courtesy of ‘The Big Short’ Writer
Batman v. Superman. Godzilla vs. Mothra. Kramer vs. Kramer. Throughout film history we have been treated to the battle royales of battle royales, the feuds to end all feuds, but there may be one that stands above all others. Earlier this year, Fox News host Megyn Kelly, along with other female employees of the network, both names and unnamed, accused now-former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes of sexual harassment. The ensuing waterfall of accusations combined with a lawsuit leveled against him by Gretchen Carlson caused Ailes to resign form his position in July. If you’ve been hungry for all the hot deets on the scandal to be brought to light, perhaps on the big screen, get ready for your dreams to be realized. The Ailes-Kelly feud is being made into a movie by one of the screenwriters behind The Big Short.
