Immediate employment and training opportunities will be available at tonight's Traveling City Hall!

It’s graduation season and thousands of recent high school and college graduates are seeking jobs. There are currently thousands of jobs available in the Evansville area, if you know where to look. The City of Evansville will help potential employees make the connection at tonight's Traveling City Hall meeting from 5:30-7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Medical Center in the Manor Building.

Jim Heck, executive director of Grow Southwest Indiana Workforce, will be joined by representatives from several local building trades seeking employees for immediate job openings and apprenticeship programs. Officials from Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center and Ivy Tech Community College - Southwest will discuss training opportunities to prepare high school students and adults for higher-wage jobs. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and learn more about employment opportunities or talk one-on-one with Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and city department heads.

Note: A special Traveling City Hall meeting will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Eastland Mall, 800 N. Green River Rd. All are welcome to attend.
