The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is less than a month away on September 28th in Downtown Evansville, so if you haven't registered or formed a team yet, the day of the race is drawing near. For race participants, there are also other ways to help fund life-saving breast cancer research.

Registered racers can win great prizes for raising funds on their own in the Komen Pledge Program. This week, for raising the average cost of a mammogram ($100), you can enter a drawing for a dinner for two at Cavanaugh's Steakhouse compliments of Tropicana Evansville. That means that inviting just ten friends to donate only $10 each will get you an entry, and each extra $100 raised on top of that will get you another entry.

To be eligible, have your donors give online, and make sure they select your name instead of donating anonymously so you can receive credit. You can also collect cash or check donations and bring them to the Komen Office at 4424 Vogel Road, Suite 205 before 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, September 6th.

The winner will be drawn on Monday, September 9th. He or she will be contacted via email and will be mentioned in the Komen Weekly newsletter. Any funds you have raised since registering for the race will count towards drawing entries, so if you're close to $100, you've still got time!
