It could be called the most famous Christmas Tree of all, but what happens to the Rockefeller Christmas after Christmas? Well, we have the answer!

Every year, a massive Christmas tree is placed in the center of Rockefeller square in New York City and is a sight to behold! So what happens to the tree after Christmas? We are glad you asked!

According to Newsday, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is repurposed after Christmas. The wood from the tree will be used in the buildling of Habitat for Humanity homes. The wood will be used as floors, walls and in the framing of the houses.

Each tree is cut into over 100 boards and is stamped with a special logo that lets the owners know where the wood came from.

It turns out the Rockefeller Christmas tree is a tree that continues to give even after the Christmas season!
