A month ago, I invested in Invisilign braces. First off, I love them. Everyone comments that they can't see them at all and I can take them off to eat or take a small break. In fact, I hardly notice I have them on now, I've grown so accustomed to them.

One of the things that did take some getting use to was, I have to brush my teeth after I eat or drink ANYTHING besides water. Tedious? Yes. Annoying? Yes. Good for me? Yes.

Know what happens if you brush your teeth after you eat? You aren't really hungry anymore. Also, if you make it a habit to brush your teeth after every drink of soda and every M&M you pop in your mouth, your mind starts to realize that the M&M isn't really worth it and you commit to your meals and snacks. It makes you mindful of what goes into your mouth and you start eating better. Plus, you pretty much only drink water because brushing your teeth 15 times a day just isn't feasible.

So, if you want to lose a few pounds, may I suggest brushing after every, single meal or snack. Pretty soon, the weight will fall off!
