The downtown convention hotel project has hit another roadblock and has been put on hold once again.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and the Evansville City Council have agreed to allow time for Crowe Horwath, LLP to answer questions from council.

Council Member John Friend has been asking to delay a vote by 30 days so that he can study the proposal get all of his questions about the project answered.

The hotel is a $74 million project. Opponents are very vocal about their objections to the city funding half of the project.

The group Citizens of Evansville Against a Taxpayer Funded Hotel have been circulating a flier with the contact information for each city council member.
