Two University of Evansville Alumni to Appear Back-to-Back on NBC Tonight

One of Owensboro’s biggest claims to fame is that Johnny Depp grew up in the BBQ Capital of the World. Evansville – well it looks like we have two current stars with rising careers. Take that, Kentucky! Neither is actually from Evansville but both attended UE and both are appearing on NBC tonight!
“Back-to-back UET alums on back-to-back shows on NBC TONIGHT. Looks like Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish ’02) is in lots of trouble on LAW & ORDER SVU, and Shane McRae ’00 finishes out his three-episode arc on CHICAGO FIRE.

Kelli Giddish

A native of Cumming, Georgia, Kelli Giddish is an accomplished theater and television actress with numerous credits to her resume. She attended the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana where she was selected to perform at the Kennedy Center as an Irene Ryan Award finalist and later graduated with a degree in performance arts. -www.kelli-giddish.com

Shane McRae

Shane McRae was born in Gainesville, Florida and grew up in Starkville, Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Evansville he went to New York City to attend the NYU Graduate Acting program where he received his masters degree. Soon after he landed his first role in the Tony Award-winning play Richard Greenberg’s “Take Me Out” on Broadway. Shane appeared as a guest star on “Hack” for CBS and is currently playing Bobby on the new NBC comedy “Four Kings.” -IMDb
