The after effects of the Tucson mass murder continue to be felt in the Talk Radio world as the moderate Republican Governor of Rhode Island Lincoln Chafee bans all state workers from appearing on any talk radio program.

A Chafee spokesperson told the Providence Journal that talk radio is essentially “ratings-driven, for-profit programming — we don’t think it is appropriate to use taxpayer resources” for state workers to spend their working hours “support for-profit, ratings-driven programming.”
