Tuesday night marked the highly anticipated premiere of the Marvel TV series 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' (read our review HERE), and for those not watching at home, you missed a look at the brand-new 'Thor 2' trailer. Fortunately, you can see it and its bits of new footage right here.

While not a whole lot of new material was revealed, the new 'Thor 2' trailer did zoom out a bit to see more extended scenes teased in previous footage -- we see more of Jane slapping Loki for what he did to New York in 'The Avengers,' and we see more of her first re-encounter with Thor when he literally drops by London, all the while slathering on the cheeky one-liners.

Also referenced was a brief look back at the entire team from 'The Avengers,' showing how the events of the film are still very much on the characters' minds. However, Thor has a new threat of his own with which to contend. The Dark Elf Malekith and his army seek to plunge the universe into darkness, and the future king of Asgard must team up with his trickster brother, Loki, in order to stop them.

'Thor 2' features Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Eccleston, Jaimie Alexander, Stellan Skarsgård, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Kat Dennings, and hits theaters November 8.
