• Jon Lord – The influential keyboardist of Deep Purple died at the age of 71. He suffered a pulmonary embolism on Monday.
• Marissa Mayer – She is the fifth CEO of the Yahoo! in five years. She's a former well respected executive at Google, and some experts think she can save Yahoo!.
• Stephen Covey – The author of "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" died this week. He was involved in a serious bicycle accident three months ago.
• Mermaid Body Found – In response to a new documentary, NOAA is reporting that mermaids do not exist.
• Jason Kidd – The newly signed NY Knick crashed into a telephone pole early Sunday morning in the Hamptons. Police have charged the NBA star with a DWI.
