Tragically, the sweet Pitbull mix named Missy has passed from complications of malnutrition. The dog was found in Wesselman's Grocery Store by Evansville Animal Control this past January. Twenty pounds lighter than she should have been, Missy was one of the worst cases of neglect Evansville Animal Control has ever seen.

Personally, anyone who allow an animal to become so sadly skinny has my most sincere sympathies. Your own heart must have been torn out a long time ago to foster such a grave inhumanity.

The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office is asking anyone with information as to who owned this dog or where she previously lived to contact them at 800-78-CRIME.

If you would like to make a donation to help other animals like Missy, you can send the money to Evansville Animal Control, c/o Spirit Medical Fund, 815 Uhlhorn Street, Evansville, IN 47710.
