Though with less fanfare than 'Game of Thrones' or 'True Blood,' HBO's controversial Aaron Sorkin drama 'The Newsroom' will premiere its second season this coming Sunday with "First Thing We Do, Let's Kill All the Lawyers." Mouthy titles aside, the new season will introduce a host of new characters from the likes of Grace Gummer, Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater and Constance Zimmer, so why wait to meet the new faces delivering Sorkin's favorite recycled lines?

Among those presented in HBO's latest featurette for 'The Newsroom' season 2, we'll meet Marcia Gay Harden as litigator Rebecca Halliday, who helps provide the new framing device of repeated flashforwards, as well as Jerry Dantana (Hamish Linklater), an employee of the fictional ACN's DC Bureau who moves to NY to replace Jim (John Gallagher Jr.) while he covers the Romney campaign in New Hampshire.

Also present is Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer as Hallie Shea, a reporter embedded within the Mitt Romney campaign and potential love interest for Jim, as well as Taylor Warren ('House of Cards' star Constance Zimmer) a Romney campaign spokesperson who also clashes with Jim. Not mentioned in the video are appearances by ‘Justified‘ star Patton Oswalt as the fictional networks new vice president of human resources.

You can check out the new character additions for 'The Newsroom' season 2 in the feature above, and tell us in the comments if you'll give the Aaron Sorkin drama another chance when the HBO drama premieres this Sunday!
