Many years ago, I stood on the Daviess County High School stage under the direction of Karen Watkins and Sheila Miller. They were some of the best times of my entire life. And, luckily, I still get to work with my stage cohorts, Chad Benefield!

I was very lucky that I went to a public school that supports the arts as much as Daviess County High school does. With an all new performing arts wing, I am so excited to go out this weekend to see the new wing and take my daughter to enjoy this year's spring show!

Beauty & The Beast

The Daviess County High School Performing Arts Academy will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in the school’s newly renovated auditorium. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students and are available at the door. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 24-26; with a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The matinee performance includes a special “Be Our Guest” party at 12:30 p.m. Children are invited to participate in games and activities with characters from the play. There is no additional cost for this event. The show includes the well-loved songs “Be Our Guest,” “Gaston,” "Beauty and the Beast," and many more.
