One of the biggest gripes people from Evansville have is that there's nothing to do. As a native myself, I've certainly said that a time or ten. Maybe it's because we're too "inside the box." Meaning we can't step back and see what our city has to offer because we're too close. We're here every day, so the attractions we have are just another part of the landscape, like any random house

Mesker Amphitheatre, Roberts Park, a new indoor pool to replace the aging Lloyd Pool and a new penguin exhibit at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden will be the focus of the May Traveling City Hall Program.

"Penguin Habitat" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Evansville, but thanks to support from Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Mesker Park Zoo is working on making it a reality.

Back by popular demand, Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden announces the return of Twilight Tuesday's for the third straight year.

Cancer survivors and guests are invited to Survivor Safari on Sunday, June 7 from 12n-4pm at Mesker Park Zoo. The event is a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration presented by Deaconess Cancer Services and Vantage Oncology.
