Residents have an opportunity to share ideas on road projects and learn about the city of Evansville’s 2014 road improvement plans at the Traveling City Hall meeting tonight at 5:30pm at Plaza Park International Academy, located at 7301 Outer Lincoln Ave.

The public is invited to make suggestions on road improvements and call attention to potholes during a series of public meetings to review the City of Evansville’s 2014 road projects and street paving program.

Clean Evansville Volunteers will target areas in Ward 2 on Evansville’s Eastside during the monthly trash pick-up this Saturday, February 1, from 9 to 11 a.m. The teams will gather at locations near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Boeke Road.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announces the installation of new playground equipment at three neighborhood parks, starting today. Mayor Winnecke said the Parks Department would utilize funds carried over from the 2013 Parks budget for improvements to Lorraine Park on the city’s East Side, Casselberry Park and Sixth Avenue Park on the city’s West Side.

UPDATE - January 9th at 4:15PM: More details are starting to trickle in (pun somewhat intended) about the issue at the Water Treatment Plant on Waterworks Road which has caused Mayor Winnecke's office to urge all residents served by the city water department to conserve usage for the next few days.

Clean Evansville will target the North Main Street area during the monthly trash pick-up this Saturday, January 4, from 9am-11am. The teams will gather at locations near North Main and Division Street to collect litter along streets and through some neighborhoods west and north of the intersection.
