Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announces the installation of new playground equipment at three neighborhood parks, starting today. Mayor Winnecke said the Parks Department would utilize funds carried over from the 2013 Parks budget for improvements to Lorraine Park on the city’s East Side, Casselberry Park and Sixth Avenue Park on the city’s West Side.

UPDATE - January 9th at 4:15PM: More details are starting to trickle in (pun somewhat intended) about the issue at the Water Treatment Plant on Waterworks Road which has caused Mayor Winnecke's office to urge all residents served by the city water department to conserve usage for the next few days.

The teams will gather at locations near North Main and Division Street to collect litter along streets and through some neighborhoods west and north of the intersection.
