'The Avengers' might have been the biggest movie of 2013 (and one of the biggest movies of all-time) but Jeremy Renner is already hoping for more from 'The Avengers 2.' The actor, who's out promoting 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters,' admits he was disappointed with his role in the first 'Avengers' movie and is hoping for more out of 'Avengers 2.'
Though Jeremy Renner's turn hosting 'SNL' this past weekend may have felt somewhat uneven, many would argue that the normally-stoic 'Avengers' star still did a better job than other hosts unprepared for sketch comedy, like Daniel Craig, or even to a degree Louis C.K. And while Renner wasn't present for the Guy Fieri deleted scene that exploded in popularity yesterday, another 'SNL' deleted scene is making the rounds that might have seen Renner at his best! There's an interesting phenomenon unique to Saturday Night Live: they can book the biggest stars in the world, but sometimes those big stars end up essentially being used as glorified props. Of course, this is only the case when the star in question doesn't prove adept at live comedy and Jeremy Renner more than fit that bill. In spite of all the many weather-related cancellations, earlier we learned that Louis C.K. would indeed go on to host 'SNL' this weekend with musical guest Fun., but what of future hosts? It seems the next two weeks are set as well, with returning host Anne Hathaway, and first-timer Jeremy Renner! So what musical guests will accompany them?
Two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner is set to take over the 'Bourne' franchise from Matt Damon, Deadline is reporting.
Universal Pictures has formally made an offer to him, and Renner is expected to sign on quickly for a September start date.
