'American Idol' used to be the hottest show on television, but after 13 years, it's starting to show its age. The show's ratings have slipped from regularly having 30 million viewers to now somewhere around 11 million. And though the show has had some different judges over the course of its run, it's now looking to ditch all four current judges to have a fresh face for season 13.

For all its massive success in recent years, AMC is still somewhat in its infancy when it comes to original programming. And for every runaway hit like 'Breaking Bad,' 'Mad Men' and 'The Walking Dead,' there's a few missteps like 'The Killing,' or even recent forays into reality TV with unique efforts like 'Small Town Security.' Ryan Seacrest is apparently the most powerful man in reality television.

So says The Hollywood Reporter, who ranked the 'American Idol' and radio host number one on its fourth annual Reality Power List.

Seacrest, who is poised to make over $55 million this year, according to PopEater, ironically dethroned former 'Idol' judge Simon Cowell, who dropped to number six on this year's list.
