Supreme Court Rules on Health Care Law

The Supreme Court handed down a ruling that backs President Obama’s health care law. The complex decision was written by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Essentially the ruling will leave the entire health care law in effect. Initial confusion about the ruling came about because the court stated that the insurance mandate could not stand as a provision of the commerce clause, but could be considered a tax.
